Buffalo Wild Wings – Cutler Bay, Florida

By

I bought into the hype of Buffalo Wild Wings but I should have known better. It had been hyped heavily through Facebook, and I became a “fan” of theirs (which I have since retracted). It’s located approximately 30 minutes from me which really made my anticipation grow greater on the drive over. My wife Marcela and I walk in and it has a very slick look, I won’t discuss the hosting/waiting staff since I know it’s a new place and sometimes it takes a few weeks to work out the kinks. I did witness the hostess get into an argument with a customer and then complain about it to the other customers around her waiting to be seated. Once my friend arrived, we were seated in the outdoor area, the inside looked a little crowded. As appetizers we ordered the Mini Corn Dogs, the Queso Chili Fries and the Boneless Wings with three sauces. Marcela chose the Habanero Mango, my friend chose the Spicy Garlic and I chose the Hot BBQ. Why didn’t we choose regular wings? My friend claims to not eat things on bones. I beg to differ. I convince Marcela to order the Pulled Pork Sandwich and my bud to order the Cheeseburger Slammers (three mini burgers). I order the Queso Chili Burger since I generally don’t ever order chili burgers anywhere I figure it’d be a nice change of pace. What happens? The appetizers come out and we’re served bone in wings. The gals insist we get the boneless, not even a minute has passed and all of a sudden all the entrees are here. So the wings go back but the manager does come to apologize for the mistake (I honestly didn’t really care, I would have had the bone in …insert joke here). The corn dogs and chili cheese fries are nothing out of this world. Marcela‘s Pulled Pork Sandwich tasted off, maybe someone used liquid smoke? Plus and worst of all, it was served a bit above room temperature, she hated it and I thought it should have been at least been hot. They could have made a better attempt at making us believe it was actually smoked. On to the Cheeseburger Slammers and Queso Chili Burger. Of all the places I’ve eaten at in the last few years, this is by the bar the worst burger I’ve had. It is processed meat, the toppings could not save either of the dishes. This is the type of patty served at your cheap relative’s BBQ. Stay far away. As far as the sides are concerned, the onions rings were oily but my friend ‘s sour cream and onion potato wedges were good.By the time the boneless wings arrive, we were less than thrilled with what we had eaten at this point. These boneless wings don’t taste all that different from what you might find at KFC (I’m not kidding). Of all the three sauces I thought the Hot BBQ was the best, the Habanero Mango although really spicy was also really sweet. The Spicy Garlic was forgettable kinda like Buffalo Wild Wings. Ouch!

I will have to “forget” to eat here. Sorry, I too bought into the hype. Now, aren’t you glad you didn’t get the “free wings for a year” hype the advertised at their Grand Opening?? LOL

Wow, that’s a bummer. I used to enjoy going to Buffalo Wild Wings when I lived in Vegas but I was usually drunk ripulator intended on getting really drunk when I was there. I don’t remember the food being this awful there, but then again my Vegas days were dominated by a foggy haze of Jack in the Box and In and Out Burger.

Lesson to be learned here. Never become a fan of anything until you personally approve of whatever it is.

And DietColaLola (la la la Lola) doesn’t like meat on her bones?

    And she orders turkey burgers?

    And drinks Diet Coke?

Coño, how does she hang with you?

  5. Edric says:

we got to give it one more try during football season. Unless you can resurrect Hooligans

    Actually I can’t stand her.

The thing is, I can’t stand you either. I add variety to the mix Mr. Miller. Also, I do like meat on my bones. Just on men not food.

You don't go to BWW and order a damn burger, you get wings. And none of those weird flavors, stick to the basics. Hot is best, medium and mild if you can't handle those.

If that doesn't satisfy you, go to a different Buffalo Wild Wings.

Why is it on the menu then?

As someone who works at that exact location, I can say that I would never allow such bad food and bad service to happen. I do wish you'd give it another chance as they've changed the staff heavily and have stricter standards for the food.
