Ra Sushi – Pembroke Pines, Florida

By

Sushi is definitely not what I’m into, that being said. I went with an open mind to Ra Sushi. As we walk in I know we’re doomed, the place looks way too slick for its own good. I can handle going to eat somewhere and paying for quality food, which I didn’t feel was this case here. The food was average at best. John and I had the steak medallions, while Marcela and Ed had the sushi, which I tried and didn’t like. Nothing was spectacular and worst of all, the service was really bad. We asked the server for a box to pack up John‘s leftovers and instead of getting the box he went outside to smoke a cigarette. Ten minutes later he comes back with the box. Honestly, if you’re into Sushi, Marcela and Ed believe this is not the place for you. Here’s a pic of Ed about to have his worst dreams realized: Also before John , Ed or Marcela bring this up, it was my fault we ended up here. I’m sure they’ll be more happy to trash me over this one and it’s well deserved.

I actually reeeaaally like the food at Ra. I agree with you on the bad service though since I had a horrible experience there on my birthday but in the end they comped a bunch of our drinks and appetizers so it worked out in my favor. The Spicy Sesame chicken wings are delicious and their Lobster egg rolls. And for sushi, the New Zealand roll is good. I think you guys just picked the wrong things! =)

I totally agree with the review. I ate their once and it just wasn't worth going back for a 2nd time.

I do not like Ra Sushi. The only time I went, the service was so horrible that it ruined the whole night. That and the food was mediocre

Been there a few times and while some of the food is good, some not, I don't think RA is what I would call traditional sushi. It's a nouveau slick packaged corporate place where the emphasis isn't necessarily on the fish. (It's on getting people to buy overpriced drinks.) Pineapple and cream cheese etc, in the rolls might be good, but not traditional.
Matsuri, one of the best sushi places in Miami, on 57 and Bird, will give you a funny look if you even try to order anything with cream cheese in it.
