Sonic America’s Drive-In – Naples, Florida

By

So I finish my original post for Sonic (it’s below by the way) with : Wouldn’t you give them a second try? Second try, coming up! My wifee Marcela and I are driving around Naples when we come across Sonic. Decisions, decisions. Do we sit outside? Nope, it’s too hot. Do we go through the drive-thru? Nope, we’re not gonna eat it in the car. So we park and yes, we end up eating it in the car anyway. Marcela decides on the breakfast burrito which has sausage, scrambled egg, cheese, tator tots, diced onions, tomatoes and jalapenos. All I know is she loved it.I order the Ex-Long Chili Cheese Coney and the Bacon Cheeseburger Toaster Sandwich. I liked the dog. The Bacon Cheeseburger Toaster Sandwich wasn’t half bad, I might almost say I liked it. Ok, I did like it.We also had some fries (Ok), Tator Tots (high school like) and Onion Rings. I found the Onion Rings to be quite good and the best of the three . To wash everything down I went with old faithful, Coca-Cola. Marcela has the Cherry Limeade which she practically made out with. Since we had combos we got free upgrades to Route 44, which is their largest drink, not too shabby if you ask me. I know, I know, you weren’t asking.

Overrated place. There food is blah at best but the concept of driving up and haveing them bring your food to your car like an old style drive up is still pretty cool.

Sonic has opened in Boynton Beach. You might want to try that one.

The Toaster you mention with the hickory sauce is good, that and the breakfast toasters are the only thing on the menu I like, but my friend and I drive from Miami to Boynton Beach every couple months or so to indulge, and I usually end up with two of the burger/hickory toaster things, and three breakfast toasters.
