Kuma’s Corner In Chicago, Illinois

Kuma's Corner - Chicago, Illinois

My friend Brett was recently at Kuma’s Corner in Chicago and he took some pictures for me. While there I received 3 text messages from him.:

  1. Sitting at Kuma burger right now!
  2. It was their 4 year anniversary 2 days ago. The streets were shut down and bands were playing
  3. Best burger I have ever had! Easily!

If I didn’t know any better I’d think he was kind of rubbing it in my face. I probably would have done the same thing too. Kuma’s Corner is known for having the Best Burger in Chicago and for naming it’s burgers after Metal bands. One last thing you should know, all of their 10 oz. burgers are served on a Pretzel Roll. Sounds like my kind of place.

Thanks to my friend Brett Nemmers for all the pictures except the for last one which he obviously did not take unless he’s got some lightening like reflexes.

About Burger Beast

I started writing the Burger Beast food blog to tell folks about those little forgotten gems in South Florida. Over the course of the last 5 years or so I've added News, Opinions, & Tips on a variety of Food related subjects. My first love will always be Burgers but Comfort Food is where it's at. At the end of the day I’m a regular dude who writes about a bunch of things I think you should know about.

The burger and fries look amazing.

Dude, the only post where I gotta say the food would not be my reason for going here…LOOK AT THAT VINYL BEHIND THE BAR!!! I see Sleep's "Holy Mountain" back there….very nice!

And they use Spanish exclamation points for the word Attention. Nice touch.

Just got back from Chicago & visited this place on a Sat afternoon before flying back to Miami…it was AMAZING! The burgers are HUGE. The place itself is small & it took a very long time to get our food (we almost missed our flight!) but it was worth it. We sat at the bar & our bartender was real cool. I got the Kaijo burger (blue cheese, frizzled onions) with the house made chips, which were really tasty. The best part about the burger was the pretzel bread, it was sooo good! Brett is right, everybody that works there looks like they're roadies for Pantera or Iron Maiden or something LOL they even had metal playing in the background, but I didn't mind, I'm an 80's metal lover ;) From where we sat we could see the kitchen & the cooks do an outstanding job! We were very impressed, they run an extremely tight ship! All in all it was a great experience, I'm really glad I made it to Kuma's!
