Epicure Gourmet Market And Cafe In Miami Beach, Florida

Epicure

My sister Michelle calls me out of the blue to ask if I wanted anything from Epicure. It was 3 in the afternoon and I hadn’t really planned what I was going to eat for dinner. So of course I said “Sure”. Turns out that Epicure Gourmet Market & Cafe was celebrating their 65th anniversary this weekend which meant 65 items throughout the store were specially priced. At around 7 PM, it’s Michelle again except this time she has a special delivery for me. I run outside (or do my best version of running) to have Michelle hand me a brown paper bag. The contents? 8 Styrofoam containers. I thank her and look lovingly into the bag. One of the containers is empty (she warned me). I guess someone couldn’t help them self. 4 contain Mini Burgers (not Sliders or Slyders) and the other 3, Hot Dogs. The most amazing part? 65 cents each!! Well, I didn’t pay for it but it was a good deal for her. The Hot Dog was nothing special, what you would find at your friend’s BBQ.

The Mini Burger was good. It had Sauteed Onions and it was on Potato Bread.

What more can you ask for? It was only 65 cents. I’m not sure if these items are on their regular prepared foods list. I’ve been wanting to go to Epicure for years and my family swears by it. I guess I now have a reason to go find out what else they have.

About Burger Beast

I started writing the Burger Beast food blog to tell folks about those little forgotten gems in South Florida. Over the course of the last 5 years or so I've added News, Opinions, & Tips on a variety of Food related subjects. My first love will always be Burgers but Comfort Food is where it's at. At the end of the day I’m a regular dude who writes about a bunch of things I think you should know about.
