Our friends Carlos and Linda were adamant that we grab a slice at Mariella Pizza. It turns out that this is the only Pizza I end up eating the entire time I’m in New York and it happened to be on my last day there. If Mariella’s opened up in South Florida they would not only kill it but I’d say they would murder it too.
The Sicilian Pie had just come out of the oven so it was a no brainer to start with that. Yes, it was great and I didn’t think it could get any better til I had the White. I think there is no Pizza that is normally butchered more often than White Pizza. I find it hard to locate a White Pizza worth a second bite much less ordering a second time. Mariella’s White with Ricotta, Mozz and Parm Cheese was right on point. Now, onto the reg slice of Cheese which finished my Pizza trifecta. THIS is the type of Pizza I envisioned myself walking around NYC and eating while blending in with all the regular folk. My wife Marcela and I liked it so much we ordered a couple of slices which we packed up and brought back to Miami for her family.
In case you were wondering, the slices were still great a day later.
