EVOS: Feel Great Fast Food In Pinecrest, Florida

I will preface everything that you’re about to read with, I think everything tastes better fried. Thank you and you may now continue your reading adventure:

EVOS Feel Great Fast Food is part of a chain that’s created a healthier form of fast food. All the food items you would normally expect to be fried are air baked in an oven which cuts down significantly on the calories and fat. Their 1/3 lb. burgers are of naturally raised beef which are also hormone & antibiotic free. So are the hot dogs by the way (they’re not 1/3 lb. though). I also heard great things about their chicken strips so let’s order some of those too along with some “Airfries”. A single patty is not enough for me so I ordered a double with cheese.

Grilled Beef Hot Dog

The burger’s flavor reminded me of a salisbury steak and would probably go better with condiments on it instead of plain how I had it. The hot dog tasted great and I could probably eat it all day along with the chicken strips. In a chicken strip line up stacked up against other fast food chain chicken strips you would not be able to tell that these were not fried.

Airfries
Ketchup: Mesquite Magic, Garlic Gravity, Cayenne Firewalker & Original

The fries were a little on the bland side for me but luckily there’s 4 different ketchups to dip them into. The Mesquite Magic is the way to go. Would I eat at EVOS again? I can appreciate what they’re trying to do. This place is not my deal, but who knows, it might be yours.

Ah, so they finally opened! How would you compare them with the 5-
Guys fare at the other end of the shopping center?

  • The Burger Beast

I wouldn't. This is not the same thing.

Interesting alternative if I find myself in Pinecrest at lunch time.

I loved their Steak burger! Yummy and so much better flavor than 'regular' fast food. I recommend this for everyone wanting to eat healthier and natural. Organic really does taste better.

You mention no condiments on your burger but the picture clearly shows lettuce and ketchup.
The one I got there was practically ruined because it was smothered in ketchup. Maybe they do that cuz the burger is sort of dry. I would be willing to try again, though have them hold the ketchup. But Waaay different than 5 guys.
Salad was really good. None of the cheapo iceberg, lots of baby greens.

What's up with the 'airbake' thing? Isn't everything in an oven baked by air?

  • The Burger Beast

It's not ketchup but a tomato. Lettuce & Tomatoes are not condiments for the record.

    Wait a minute…
    You ate lettuce and tomatoes?

    Anon,

Nope. I asked for only cheese but it still came with the lettuce and tomato. I of course removed it but not before I took the pic.

Went this weekend and was not impressed with the wraps. The wraps have more rice than chicken or fish. The fries and selection of ketchup were good.

you beat me to it beast… I was googling on the internet trying to find more information about EVOS when i stumbled upon a link to this post. (nice site by the way) I was looking forward to reviewing this place because i thought they might have come across a good idea.

I take it you were less than impressed. I'm also not surprised at all to see that you reviewed the food as being a little bland. (as we all know fried = flavor)

Maybe someone else can chime in. Were the chicken strips crunchy at all? They look like it based on the photos.

I went there and the strips are to my surprise are awesome! Like the beast said… In a chicken strip line up stacked up against other strips you would not be able to tell that those were not fried. So true!

No one has mentioned the shakes!!!
very flavorful made with organic milk. as well as the fruit smoothies, give them a try….
the chicken strips are unreal!!! especially with the variety of ketchups and the honey mustard.
PLEASANTLY SURPRISED, LOOKING FORWARD TO GOING BACK

While I love a big sloppy burger as much as the next guy, I also know that moderation is key and you can't eat those things everyday (unless you plan on making some doctors a lot of money in the future).

This is why I love EVOS. You get the fast food fix without the guilt. And you also don't get that "god i feel awful" feeling after eating there.

The air frying technique they use comes really close to simulating frying (probably better with the chicken fingers than the fries .. but I still like the fries). I just wish I could get one of those air fryers for my house.

The turkey burger isn't bad too. (I'm sure its blasphemy to say that on this site). Like most turkey burgers, it doesn't really have much taste of its own. But they use a nice chipotle sauce to jazz it up.

I became a fan of this place while visiting Tampa and I'm glad to see they've finally ventured south. Good luck to them.
