Sweetness Bake Shop & Cafe – Kendall, Florida

Sweetness Store Front

I stumbled (luckily) upon Sweetness Bake Shop because of a Twitter RT (for the non Twitter folks out there, a re-tweet aka re-post) and started to follow them. A couple days passed and I noticed that they tweeted a photo of some delicious looking cupcakes.

I had wanted to visit several times and failed to do so because of traffic and/or time restraints. I finally had some free time and paid them a visit. The bake shop has a very modern coffee house look to it and has a nice sized lcd screen only playing the food network. I decided to order the “Thrilla in Vanilla”, “Chocolate3”, “Peanut Bund” and some “G.O.A.T” cookies (Greatest of all time? stuffed with chocolate, it’s possible).

While I was there, I overheard some of the specialty cakes they’ve made for customers. I had never heard of an Irish Car Bomb cake but I will definitely be ordering one for my next birthday celebration. So if you are in the mood for some delicious treats then I recommend giving Sweetness a try.

Sweetness Bake Shop &  Cafe won “Best Dessert” at the 3rd BurgerBeast.Com Burgie Awards.

Sweetness Bake Shop &  Cafe also owns the Sugar Rush Food Truck.

About Burger Beast

I started writing the Burger Beast food blog to tell folks about those little forgotten gems in South Florida. Over the course of the last 5 years or so I've added News, Opinions, & Tips on a variety of Food related subjects. My first love will always be Burgers but Comfort Food is where it's at. At the end of the day I’m a regular dude who writes about a bunch of things I think you should know about.

Been here once and haven't made it back but their guava creme brulee is damn good.

The best thing in this place is the gelato, which they don't even make.

I had their Coconut Key Kime cupcake yesterday at it was AWESOME… But my favorite is definitely Maple Bacon. It sounds crazy but it is delicious.

You have to tell us, what exactly is the Irish car bomb cake??

The Irish Car Bomb is their version of the drink…guinness cake, jameson whisky filling, baileys irish cream frosting

Visited only once. I stood at the counter trying to make some eye contact over and over. And, it was like racism towards english speakers. No one talked to me for a full 5 minutes of being ignored. I will not be going back.
