Earl of Sandwich – Port St. Lucie Fl Turnpike Plaza
ByWhen I was last in Vegas back at the end of 2007 I remember seeing an “Earl of Sandwich – Coming Soon” sign at the Planet Hollywood hotel. I was kinda excited for some reason but I never thought about it again until I walked into the Port St. Lucie Turnpike Plaza (a plaza exists every 40 or so miles on the Florida Turnpike). I stood there for a good while trying to figure out what to get and decided on the Ham ‘n’ Swiss. The sandwich was tightly wrapped and looked almost like a bar of gold.

I opened up my treasure to a nicely toasted sandwich. It looked great and had the Earl’s Mustard sauce all over the inner top and bottom bread. I liked the mustard but I found the sandwich to be something I could re-create at home. Not that it was bad but I wouldn’t exactly be running here to have another one of these.
Next time I stop at this plaza I’d go for the “The Original 1762″ (Roast Beef, Cheddar Cheese & Creamy Horseradish Sauce) or “The Full Montagu” (Roast Beef, Turkey, Aged Swiss & Sharp Cheddar Cheese, Lettuce, Roma Tomatoes & the Earl’s Mustard Sauce) and their triple chocolate brownie. And maybe one of their salads, just kidding.

Everyone seems to love the Earl of Sandwich in Downtown Disney. To me, they’re just average sandwiches…
The Breakfast Sandwich is AWESOME! The bacon is the best.
