About Burger Beast

I started writing the Burger Beast food blog to tell folks about those little forgotten gems in South Florida. Over the course of the last 5 years or so I've added News, Opinions, & Tips on a variety of Food related subjects. My first love will always be Burgers but Comfort Food is where it's at. At the end of the day I’m a regular dude who writes about a bunch of things I think you should know about.
  • Good morning, Burger Beast! My favorite alien-based movie would have to be the very first Alien alien movie from 1979. It was way ahead of its time!

  • Jeannette Mantilla

    Mars Attacks!

  • elizabeth

from my childhood, invasion of the body snatchers was the best – scarred the crap out of me as a kid . but its too obvious given the shirt .
so it would have to be men in black . that pug was too damn adorable ! 🙂

For me, hands down its Alien (1979). A shockingly simple horror story, set in a highly realistic sci-fi future, made “beliavable” by great special effects, gore and a simple plot. In fact it’s one of the only sci-fi films that could be considered a masterpiece. I also happen to love District 9, ET, invasion of the body snatchers (ironic huh?), the abyss amongst others.

MIne has to be Earth Girls Are Easy> The colored furry dudes crack me up even to this day. I always wanted to made a halloween costume based on these crazy aliens. Plus Wiploc was played by Jimmy Carry 🙂

I did catch Howard the duck yesterday but I still cant justify him as an alien! Seriously a duck from space!

  • michelle galiatsatos

One of my favs scene is when the head comes off the monster in the classic alien movie “the thing” and it grows legs and walks away like a spider…..freaking awesome!!!

  • Andreina Granado

    Coneheads
    Earth Girls Are Easy

  • Hello…..Buckaroo Banzai of course.

  • The BEST alien movie ever, which I have seen about 1000 times is:

ROCKY HORROR PICTURE SHOW (Tranvestites and aliens, whats not to love?)

Second best movie that still secretly scares the crap out of me and gives me the chance to scare my sister with the clicking sound is:

SIGNS (“Swing away Merrill. Merrill… swing away”)

  • Sandy Smith

Plan 9 from Outer Space. Aliens and zombies. So horrible it’s hilarious.

  • Sarah Ryan

My favorite alien based movie is Star Kid… its a classic!

  • Lauren Duke

Best alien based movie would be “Batteries Not Included” 1987. Extraterrestrial living creatures flying around! It’s a classic movie

  • E.T.! Definitely, E.T.
Because even aliens love chocolate candy and hot food!

  • Lauren Duke

“batteries Not Included” 1987 as mentioned above …..

    Or

“The Puppet Masters” mind controlling alien parasites! That moved scarred the crap out of me
