I was very excited to walk into Jupiter Donut Factory; the smell of fresh donuts in the morning will do that to a person. They open up at 6 am, and once they’re sold out, they close up shop.
It sounds much like my beloved Mojo Donuts, and there’s a reason for that: the original owners of Jupiter Donut Factory trained the Mojo Donuts owners.
Yes, the donuts are similar, but Jupiter Donut Factory has fewer wacky creations.
But….there is one big difference: They serve other dishes, including breakfast sandwiches. I ordered mine on an asiago cheese bagel (toasted) with a Taylor Pork Roll and cheese.
It comes cut in half, and when I picked up the first part to eat it, I encountered a thing of beauty. The yolk was drooling all over the place, making for what could be one of, if not the best, breakfast sandwiches I’ve ever had.
After I finished it, I sat and thought about how great another one would be. I looked up, and the place was packed.
Well….I guess there’s always next time I’m up here, and that day can’t come soon enough.
