BURGERIM now In South Florida

El Rey de las Fritas

Burgerim translates to “many burgers” and it’s also the name of the new Burger chain opening in South Florida (Boca Raton, Hallandale Beach, Miami – multiple locations, Plantation and West Palm Beach). They currently have locations in California, Tennessee and Texas.

Burgerim features 2.8 ounce char-grilled patties served in packs of 2,3 and/or a 16 Party Box.

Once you’ve decided how many then you need to start with the type of patty: Beef, Dry Aged Beef, Wagyu Beef, Merguez (Spicy Beef), Turkey, Lamb, Chicken, Salmon, Veggie, Spanish Beef and Falafel.

Then the sauces: House Sauce, Ketchup, Mustard, Mayo and BBQ Sauce.

The free toppings are Shredded Lettuce, Romaine, Tomato, Onions, Red Onions, Grilled Onions, American Cheese and Pickles while the premium toppings are Pineapple, Roasted Bell Peppers, Arugula, Mixed Greens, Sauteed Mushrooms, Jalapeños, Swiss Cheese, Cheddar Cheese, Bleu Cheese and Pepper Jack Cheese.

I was invited to try a trio of Merguez, Lamb and Wagyu Beef patties.

The Merguez was topped with Shredded Lettuce, Tomato, House Sauce, Pickles, Mushrooms and Pepper Jack Cheese. The patty had a nice little spice to it and the combination with the Pepper Jack Cheese was a good idea.

Next up was the Lamb covered in Mixed Greens, Grilled Onions, Cheddar Cheese, Tomato & Mayo. Lamb and non-Lamb fans will definitely enjoy it as there’s no gameyness to it.

Third one was a Wagyu Beef with Jalapeños, Shredded Lettuce, Tomato, Onion, House Sauce, Pickles and Cheddar Cheese. This was my favorite of the three. I need to try it classic old school next time aka Pickles, Mustard and Onion.

In lieu of regular fries they have these little potatoey pillows which are perfect to dip with or just enjoy solo like I did. There are also Sweet Potato Fries and Onion Rings to round out the side dishes.

The full menu includes Wings, some Sandwiches, Salads and Desserts which I did not try.

The 1st Miami location at 8229 Flagler Street opens this Friday September 1st and I have a sneaking suspicion it’s gonna do great. There’s nothing like this around these parts and it’s a welcome addition to the neighborhood.

P.S.: I took a 16 Party Box to go.
