Swiss Alp Bellevue Burgers

Ingredients:

• 1 Pound Ground Beef

• 8 Ounces Emmi Swiss Alp Bellevue, Crumbled

• Salt and Pepper to Taste

• Lettuce for Garnish (Optional)

• 4 Hamburger Buns

Directions:

Step 1: Preheat Grill.

Step 2: Combine Ground Beef and 4 Ounces of Swiss Alp Bellevue, in a Large Bowl; Season with Salt and Pepper.

Step 3: Gently Form Meat and Cheese Mixture into 4 Patties.

Step 4: Place Patties on Grill. Just Before Desired Internal Temperature is Reached, Top with Remaining Swiss Alp Bellevue and Cook for 1-2 Additional Minutes, or Until Cheese Begins to Melt.

Step 5: Place Lettuce on Bottom Bun (Optional), Transfer Patties to Buns and Serve.
 

Emmi Swiss Cheese Sliders

Emmi Swiss Cheese Slider

Ingredients:

• 1pound ground beef

• Salt and Pepper to taste

• 6 ounces Emmi Switzerland Swiss Cheese, Thinly Sliced

• 4 Slices Bacon, Cooked and Cut in Half

• 4 Small Hamburger Buns, Lightly Toasted

• Lettuce, Tomato, Roasted Red Peppers, Hot Sauce and Onions (Optional)

Directions:

Step 1: Preheat Grill.

Step 2: Season Beef with Salt and Pepper and Form into 8 Small, Thin Patties.

Step 3: Evenly Place 3 Ounces of Sliced Switzerland Swiss in the Center of the 4 Patties. Top with Remaining Patties, and Firmly Press Edges to Seal.

Step 4: Place Sliders on Grill. Just Before Sliders Reach Desired Internal Temperature, Top with Remaining Sliced Switzerland Swiss and Cook for 1-2 Additional Minutes, or Until Cheese Begins to Melt.

Step 5: Layer Garnishes and Bacon on Bottom Bun, Transfer Sliders to Bun, and Serve.

Yesterday we had a National Hamburger Month Contest going on at the Burger Beast Facebook Fanpage….actually we had a couple. The prize for this contest in particular was not only a Burger Beast T-Shirt but a $25 Gift Card to SONIC.

At the 2012 SoBe Burger Bash earlier this year, Amstel Light  launched their “Savor Complexity” campaign. Amstel Light is of course a very big part of that event and the title sponsor so it makes sense they would keep their burger association going throughout the rest of the year.

The Amstel Light “Savor Complexity” poster above lists some great toppings and condiments associated with the humble burger. It concludes with the Complex Tale of the Burger:

A simple slice of pizza can be fine. A simple pasta dish can be great. But when it comes to a man’s burger, that’s a whole other meatball. Because you want that thing to tell a story. You want it to have chapters of flavor. You want its description on the menu to read like a bibliography – citing sources for each,

Grill Master Cafe will be debuting Grill Master Cafe 2 tonight at the weekly Food Truck Invasion at Arts Park in Hollywood. Grill Master Cafe was built by Grill Master Cafe owner Ray Delgado who is now also in the Food Truck building business.

This new truck is a beauty with state of the art everything (I have a way with words).  Check out the revamped menu and the promo video created for the original intended debut at the Wynwood Art Walk before all the permits got canceled by the city.

Boardwalk Fresh Burgers & Fries is mostly compared to Five Guys since their burger is similar in look and taste to them. The menu on the other hand is much larger and includes a Veggie Burger and a few Chicken options. It’s not the best Chili Cheese Dog I’ve had but it gets the job done,

It was pretty ridiculous the amount of fries that come with the “Large” order. And Yes, the fries tasted just as good as I remember them but Large is definitely a sharing size.

There’s an all beef Hot Dog with the option to make it Chili Cheese so I couldn’t pass up that opportunity. The dog sliced in half and slathered in their Chili sauce with American Cheese melted on top for good measure.

For those of you who can’t make up your mind there are already a few “Signature Burgers” that you can point at on the menu and order like the “Bacon Bleu”. I opted for a Double with American Cheese and no condiments. The burgers are cooked on the flat top and have that nice crisp exterior. It doesn’t add anything to the flavor but the texture difference is always a great thing. The burger while good isn’t the star here, the fries are.
