It’s back! Riverwalk Burger Battle III returns on Friday, May 11, from 7PM – 11PM at Huizenga Plaza in Downtown Fort Lauderdale. This time 20 Burger contenders will battle for the Best Burger Trophy! Also up for grabs are awards for: Best ‘Burger Joint’ Burger • Best ‘Bar & Grill’ Burger • Best ‘Knife & Fork’ Burger • Fan Favorite Trophy and Burger Nirvana (Perfect Score from at least 2 of the 5 Judges).
Tickets for $40 General Admission include eating of the burgers, drink tickets to be used for any Barefoot Wine & Bubbly, Jack Daniel’s, Budweiser Select or Bud Light Golden Wheat and a French Fry Bar (my personal favorite). A limited amount of $125 VIP tix will be available which also include an open bar and comfortable seating (aka fluffy chairs) in the VIP area.
I’ll add restaurant updates as I receive them but so far the line-up look like this:

And the Best Burger at JA Uncorked was…
Posted by: | CommentsThis past weekend at the JA Uncorked event I hosted Riverwalk’s Burger Battle Alley preview at JA Uncorked. If you attended the event you would have found me happily situated between Chef Allen’s Burger Bar and Elevation Burger. I was always an arm’s length away from the good stuff.
Smashburger Opens in Coral Springs
Posted by: | CommentsSmashburger finally opened up in Coral Springs (1840 N. University Drive) on Tuesday. On Monday I was lucky enough to be invited to their VIP aka Soft Opening to be their “Celebrity Smasher”. As a Celebrity Smasher I did the ceremonial 1st smash on the grill which also involves having to be able to execute a flip after the meat had adhered itself to their 400 degree flat top.
