Burger King Rib Sandwich Is Coming For Summer

BK Rib Sandwich

fast payday loans Payday Loans for every one

Last year Burger King’s Summertime Menu included a Bacon Sundae but they seem intent on topping that this year with the introduction of the Burger King Rib Sandwich. An obvious copy of the popular McDonald’s McRib Sandwich, the Burger King version will be available starting May 21st through the end of the summer along with the return of a line of Memphis Pulled Pork Sandwiches and Sweet Potato Fries. The Burger King Rib Sandwich was tested in Shreveport, Louisiana and did very well there. Let’s not forget Burger King also had those Fire Grilled bone in Ribs a few years ago that were pretty good considering where you were getting them from. I’m not a fan of the McRib so I’m definitely interested to see how this stacks up against it.

I Checked Out Some New Burger King Breakfast Items

Over the last few weeks Burger King has introduced a few new things to their Breakfast menu including a Bacon Gouda Muffin, Donut Holes & a bunch of Coffees. I don’t frequent Fast Food Joints for Breakfast often but if I do, McDonald’s is the place I’d normally hit up for their Sausage McMuffin w/Egg.

The first thing I noticed when I unwrapped the Bacon Gouda Sandwich was its size, it was slightly larger than the standard Muffin. It also seemed a little more artisanal than what you’d normally get at a fast food joint. The Bacon was also different from what I refer to normally as that “Burger King” freeze dried Bacon. There was an herb spread on the bottom Muffin which complimented the sandwich well. I was pretty surprised to be getting something that tasted this good.

As part of the combo with their Hash Browns I asked for a Large Vanilla Latte. It’s passable but doesn’t top local folks like Panther Coffee or Pasion del Cielo. And if you’re on the move, the fact that you can roll right through the drive-thru and get this is might be a giant plus for some folks.

I’m not about to turn a blind eye and pretend they’re making their Donuts in house but these yeast based Donut Holes taste pretty good and will definitely fulfill that Donut craving when you’re in a crunch.

Burger King continues to expand its menu with some higher quality food. While it certainly wasn’t a 100% hit I’m glad that our local Fast Food juggernaut is still creating. And that’s a good thing. In case you were wondering, I always check out their new items from the nearest corporate store which is located a block from Burger King Headquarters.

Oui! Burger King Is Back In France After 15 Years

Burger King 1966 Logo

In 1997 (15 years if you can’t do quick math) Burger King abdicated France and closed all 39 of its stores due to poor sales. On Saturday December 15th they returned opening up at the Marseille Airport in a partnership with Autogrill (a company that operates highway service stations). The 2nd location will be in a highway service station in Champagne. Can Burger King Wine be far behind?

Yes, I Ordered Burger King Delivery

I had joked earlier in the week that I was considering ordering some Burger King Delivery. It did not go over too well with some folks but I honestly wanted to try it. Then 2 days when I typed in my address there it was, confirmation that BK Delivery was available in my neighborhood. By the time I got around to ordering it was past their hours of operation (they shut down delivery at 10PM) and would have to wait one more day.

I finally decided yesterday was the day and implored via Twitter for someone to stop me:

Was I expecting the Burger King Delivery or BK Delivery as they’re calling it to change my thoughts on Fast Food? Absolutely not but I was interested in checking it out none the less.

It took 65 minutes after I placed the order online to receive my food.  The driver’s vehicle had one of those delivery toppers on it and the food was in the usual, an insulated black bag. The Whopper was in the new container with “proprietary thermal packaging technology“.
