for every oneA couple of day ago I was going through my Twitter followers when I came across the @BnBFoodTruck. It looks like Burger & Beer Joint is joining the Miami Food Truck scene. I’ll keep you posted as soon as I hear anything else.
I’m very worried about celebrating National Hamburger Day properly so that means no Cheese on my Burger today. Since its also the end of days, maybe a little rule bending is in order. What are you doing to celebrate?
It took almost 2 years after my mention about Shula Burger but they’re finally within sensible driving distance of me. Today at 11AM you can find one in your neck of the woods as the Kendall Shula Burger is opening its doors to the public. So far there are Shula Burgers in Islamorada , Tampa International Airport & Ft. Lauderdale. The Delray Beach location is slated to open in early 2013.

If you’re not familiar with them, the Shula Burger menu has Burgers (including Turkey & Veggie), Hot Dogs, a couple of Sandwiches (Steak & Chicken) and Salads. I’ve eaten at the Islamorada location. I enjoyed the Shula Burger and that French Onion Burger (Caramelized Onions, Double Gruyere Cheese, Garlic Mayo, Crushed Garlic Croutons) is just dynamite. But, there’s something about that Don Burger (Burger, Hot Dog, Pickle, Onion Sauce, American Cheese, Ketchup, Yellow Mustard on a Brioche Style Bun) that intrigues me. Check out the rest of the menu before you head out so you don’t hold up the line.

Are you a fan of LEGO? Do you have a great idea that might make a killer LEGO set? Well then you should be living at the LEGO CUUSOO website submitting ideas. CUUSOO is the Japanese partner of LEGO who works with them to create “community supported sets“. This is how it works:
1. Have an Idea? Create a Project, share your product concept, and see what other people think.
2. Get 10,000 Supporters: Projects with 10,000 supporters are reviewed quarterly by LEGO for a chance to become an official LEGO product.
3. Receive Royalty: If your project passes review and is chosen for production, you will receive 1% of the total net sales of the product. See the guidelines for more details.
Why am I bringing this up? I came across a few things I found interesting like an In-N-Out Restaurant, a McDonald’s Meal and LEGO Food Trucks.
They’re not doing too well in voting and could use your help, that is of course unless you’ve got a better idea!
ABC News correspondent Amy Robach did a blind Burger Taste Test with Food Network’s Alton Brown on 20/20. They tried out 5 burgers “from a $5 fast-food staple to a $295 gourmet burger“.

McDonald’s new Cheddar Bacon Onion Burger hit their menu last week. You can order either the Burger or Chicken (Grilled or Crispy) version. The new kid on the block is topped with two slices of White Cheddar, Grilled Onions, a couple of slices of Hickory-Smoked Bacon and a Creamy Mustard Sauce.

I had a few folks ask me if I knew anything about the Guy’s Burger Joint opening up in November. They had seen a giant billboard on either the 826 Expressway or I-95 proclaiming “Coming November”. Turns out it was just as I suspected, an ad for his Carnival Cruise exclusive restaurant which one of his people confirmed via email. I’ll actually be on a Carnival Cruise in December so I’ll report back on my thoughts.
