Yesterday we had a National Hamburger Month Contest going on at the Burger Beast Facebook Fanpage….actually we had a couple. The prize for this contest in particular was not only a Burger Beast T-Shirt but a $25 Gift Card to SONIC.

National Hamburger Month Celebration at Pincho Factory, Burger Orgy: Nedal (the Mad Scientist at Pincho Factory) and I sat down and thought, what would be a great event for a burger fan and here it is…..
Come out to Pincho Factory for this ticketed event that will see Charm City Burger Company (all the way from Deerfield Beach) & El Rey de las Fritas (all the way from Little Havana, ok so that’s not too far) in the house creating a slider and side dish alongside Pincho Factory. Yes, that’s right 3 awesome burger joints under one roof and if that wasn’t enough, each slider creation will be paired with a Beer. And to close out the night….everyone’s favorite Fireman Derek will be in the house serving up a new dessert creation. Seating is limited so get your tickets NOW:
National Hamburger Month Celebration at Wheelin Dealin Street Food Festival

Last year’s most successful event for National Hamburger Month was the Miami Food Trucks event and this year is no different. The Wheelin’ Dealin’ Street Food Festival will be hosting it this year on Saturday May 19th. All the trucks are coming up with “Specialty Burgers” for the month to celebrate plus they’ll still have their full menu! I’ll be there with the Burger Beast T-Shirt tent so you can pick up some swag and HipPOPS Handcrafted Gelato Bars Truck will be debuting at the event !

Wheelin’ Dealin’ Street Food Fest celebrates National Hamburger Month! Everyone will have a burger specialty on their trucks, this includes all the desserts truck. Last year this event was the most popular one I hosted all month. I’m looking forward to the rumored Ms. Cheezious Turkey Patty Melt. A full list of participating trucks and their dishes will be released soon.

Burger Brunch at Sakaya Kitchen for National Hamburger Month
Posted by: | CommentsIt really didn’t take a whole bunch of convincing to get Chef Richard Hales to a do a Burger Brunch Buffet for National Hamburger Month. He’s going to put that Sakaya twist on a menu with breakfast and burger offerings (maybe even a Frita). The $35 tickets are limited for this event and there is only one seating. I would snap them up with the quickness. I have a feeling we’re going to be having the Burger Brunch Buffet of a lifetime.

Beat The Beast at Gilbert’s 17th Street Grill
Posted by: | CommentsWho wants to take me on in a slider eating contest for “Slider Sunday – Beat the Beast” at Gilbert’s 17th Street Grill? To celebrate National Hamburger month on May 15, Gilbert’s will be holding a slider eating competition against me and offering a special menu between 1PM – 4PM.
The contest is simple enough, you must eat as many sliders as you can in 15 minutes and at the same time beat the Burger Beast’s quantity. Think you’re up for it?
No competing? Come by, watch the action and cheer on your favorite! There will be a special slider menu in effect as well as the debut of their Cheddar Cheese Fries with Bacon. Have you had their fries? Have you had their bacon? If the answer is yes then you’ll know why this is a relationship made in Heaven!

Battle of the Beast on May 1st at Pincho Factory
Posted by: | CommentsI can’t think of a better way to kick off National Hamburger Month than with “The Battle of the Beast” at Pincho Factory. This eating competition will decide who is the crowned the Pincho Factory “Foreman”.
The competitors will eat 3 “Try Me Tuesdays” Specialty Burgers consecutively in a timed event. The winner will receive the title of champ and $100. There is a fee for entering and you can email Pincho Factory at pinchofactory@gmail.com for more details.
In the mean time, check out 3 of the “Try Me Tuesdays” burgers that “might” be a part of the competition.
