With the thousands of pictures on BurgerBeast it was hard to decide which 10 were my favorites but I kinda did. You wouldn’t be surprised if there’s a Part 2 in the near future.
To celebrate National Hamburger Month in May 2010 we had giveaways throughout the entire month but none was more popular than the giant King mask that came courtesy of Burger King. Everyone wanted it including my wife but it found a happy home in the end via a giveaway.
The 2009 Burgie Winner for Best Burger was Kingdom. I came by to visit a few days after the victory and there was owner Justin delivering the goods. He stopped long enough for me to snap this shot.
When driving around Miami you never know what you’re going to encounter so it was funny when I drove up to the gastroPod and found Jim Heins of Latin Burger and Chef Jeremiah having a conversation. This was way back in February before the explosion of Street food in Miami happened.
I’ve been eating at Flora’s since I was about 10 years old. For those of you keeping score at home, that’s about 25 years. I figured I’d take my pal Jarce to try out their pizza. The largest pie is just plain ridiculous. Just so you can get an idea, the one on the left is an XL.
I’m always trying to invite myself to things but this time someone actually said yes. Christina and I ended up doing a cross-blog post. I also enjoyed some great food that she prepared.
It’s been way over a year since I snapped this picture but I still laugh at it. I was Jim Brimberry’s Royal Castle trying to decide what to eat when I came across the “Pork Shop” on the menu. I did resist ordering it though.
Billy Mitchell is known for 2 things: 1)Best Classic Gamer Ever & 2)Owner of Rickey’s Hot Sauce & Restaurants in Pembroke Pines & Hollywood. I was in Quickie’s of Hollywood a couple of weeks before I attempted to eat their 4lb. Titan Burger. Billy Mitchell walked in, was very cool when I met him and left telling the owners that he could take me in the 4 lb. challenge. What a character.
For reasons unknown to anyone other than himself, Caveman saddled up and was having a good ole’ time. A few folks took pictures of him during his ride at our stop at Taurus (part of the Burger Beast Burger Tour) . He was enjoying himself a little too much if you ask me.
Just as we walked out of Abdullah The Butcher’s House of Ribs & Chinese Food we ran into Abdullah. We sat for a little bit and talked old school wrestling. I asked if I could take a picture with him and next thing I know he’s grabbing my head and biting it. He’s still got it!
