These are 6 great gifts that you can give any Burger Lover and I fall into that category:
8 oz. Burger Bar on South Beach has a Burger of the Month Club. By signing up for The Burger of the Month Club you are entitled to the specialty burger of the month as well as a draft beer each month for the following 12 months. The cost? $100. I think it’s way worth it.
The Dexter Russell Turner, Heavy Duty 5” x 4” is one spatula that I’ve had my eye on for a while now.Dexter Russell also makes one that’s specifically for burgers but I prefer this one because it’s a bit wider and I feel it gives me a little more control when flipping the hockey pucks.
Spike Mendelsohn’s The Good Stuff Cookbook: Burgers, fries, shakes, wedges, and more has been out for a little while now but I haven’t been able to get my meaty hooks on one.
The only time of the year where I feel as if my love for burgers is amplified a thousand fold is during the SoBe Burger Bash. Lee Schrager’s The Food Network South Beach Wine & Food Festival Cookbook: Recipes and Behind-the-Scenes Stories from America’s Hottest Chefs Book chronicles the 1st ten years of the event and has an entire chapter on burgers along with some of the winning recipes.
If there was a burger altar, I would bow in reverence to George Motz. Reading his book Hamburger America changed my outlook on burgers. And while Hamburger America 2: Completely Revised and Updated Edition won’t be out til May 2011, it is available for pre-order on Amazon.
Do I really need the Toddland Burger Wallet? Nope. But C’monnnnnn….Yes I need it.
