When you’re driving and see giant neon letters that say “Killer Burgers” you must make a stop, even if you just ate.
When I walked in, it was even worse than I suspected. Everything on the menu sounds killer, lol…..I kill myself……alright…….I’ll stop.
The name “Grindhouse” conjures the idea of sleazy B-movies so of course, it makes sense that one is projected on the wall right near where I’m seated.
I wasn’t planning on getting a “Boozy Milkshake” but I couldn’t pass up anything named after one of my idols, Jeff Lebowski. El Duderino is essentially a White Russian Shake (Coffee Shake, Kahlua, & Pinnacle Whipped Vodka) and this dude abides.
I’m not sure why I didn’t order Onion Rings at Grindhouse but I did enjoy the Bacon & Bleu Cheese Sauce Fries. After trying the Chili though, I’m thinking the Chili & Cheddar Cheese Fries might be the way to go.
When I was reading through the preset “Burger Styles”, the Hillbilly Style called out to me. I settled for a “Junior”, one 1/4 patty. This fella is topped with Pimento Cheese, Brisket Chili, Sliced Onions & Jalapeños on a Potato Roll. It was served all wrapped up like the vacation gift that it was. Pimento Cheese is my new thing so I was really vibing with this Burger.
As I sat thinking about what I had just eaten, I knew I couldn’t leave without having a Chili Cheese Dog. And as I ate the Brisket Chili Cheese Dog I was wondering if you could switch out the shredded Cheddar Cheese for Pimento Cheese. It’s what this dog needs to go from excellent to majestic.
My plan is to eat my way through the rest of the menu next time I’m in Atlanta, it’s really the only civilized thing to do.
P.S.: By the way, anyone try the Brisket Chili Dog with Pimento Cheese? I really can’t get that idea out of my head.
