One of the plusses of doing something like the Amstel Light Burger Beast Challenge is that I get introduced to a place like Bull Market in Ft. Lauderdale which had never made it onto my radar.
My plan was really to sit down and order whatever their signature Burger with an Amstel Light but that all changed when I looked over the menu. Grilled Cheese Flights? Mc & Cheese with Jalapeño? Wings in Candy Pepper Sauce? Just like what you might hear in an auction house……..SOLLLDDDDDDD!!!!!!!!
The Grilled Cheese Flights were quarters of a Grilled Cheese (Cheddar, Jack & Smoked Gouda Cheeses) stuffed into shot glasses of Tomato Basil Soup. Happiness is all that I can use to describe this starter, utter happiness.
The Mac Attack was ooey and gooey but the Jalapeños lacked the heat I was hoping for, good thing the Bacon was there for fatty goodness back up.
Where have these Wall Street Wings tossed in “Candy Pepper Sauce” been all of my life? Whoever created that Sauce deserves a Nobel Peace Prize, no for real.
My bud Alex who was with me ordered the Bear Market Burger which came topped with some of their Bison Chili. We had originally thought about ordering the Bison Chili as a starter but when he picked out this Burger we changed our minds. The Bison Chili also has ground Turkey in it which must be the secret ingredient that makes it so good.
I love to see Regional Specialty Burger on menus. The Juicy Lucy is the specialty Burger of the city of Minneapolis. If you’re not familiar with it, you should get to know it. The Jucy Lucy or Juicy Lucy as it’s spelled here is a Burger stuffed with Cheese.
There are few restaurants in South Florida who make one but Bull Market’s Juicy Lucy Burger jumps to the top of that list. If it’s not the best one I’ve ever had it sure is damn close. And that Bull Sauce is just the icing on the cake.

*Bull Market comped my meal which I had no idea was gonna happen or I would have ordered more things, just kidding.
