After the Creme Brulee Fried Chicken Sandwich’s appearance on Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives I’m gonna go ahead and say that its popularity is going to skyrocket.
Haven’t heard of it? Well, let me educate you on it.
Mojo Donuts & Fried Chicken out of Westchester in South Florida was selling a Creme Brulee Donut. There was also a Chicken Sandwich on the menu. Then Mojo Donuts’ co-owner Jimmy Piedrahita had an epiphany, a Donut meets Chicken doozy of an idea and the Creme Brulee Fried Chicken Sandwich was born.
They take the Creme Brulee Donut, slice it in half and use it as buns or the vehicle for the sammy. A Chicken tender that’s fried up fresh is placed on the bottom “bun”. It’s then topped with a mild Cheddar Cheese sauce, Bacon crumbles and a sunny side up Egg. You could pass on having the Egg but that would be criminal.
The Creme Brulee Fried Chicken Sandwich is gonna have people saying, Chicken & Waffles who?
Don’t know what Chicken & Waffles are? That’s a tale for another day.
