Best Pan con Bistec in Miami List

My Best Pan con Bistec in Miami, aka Cuban Steak Sandwich list, is another in my series where I’m trying to pass along my knowledge of Cuban Comfort Food. For the uninitiated, here’s an accurate description of this delicacy:

A Pan con Bistec‘s ingredients consist of thin, seasoned steak (palomilla), grilled onions, potato sticks, lettuce, tomato, and mayo on Cuban bread cut from a loaf. Sometimes, the bread is pressed for an added crunch, but not always.

The quality of ingredients varies and will affect the sandwich’s flavor; cheaper isn’t necessarily better. I always skip out on the lettuce and tomato; you won’t find those in my pictures.

Oh, one last thing. There are classic Pan con Bistec (Cuban Steak Sandwiches), and then there are what I’ll call a New Generation Pan con Bistec, which add sauces and variations of steak. They’re great, too, like Sanguich‘s. It’s closer to a Philly cheesesteak but excellent nonetheless.
