The Best Pan con Bistec in Miami List
My Best Pan con Bistec (Steak Sandwich) list is another in my series where I’m trying to pass along my knowledge of Cuban Comfort Food. For the uninitiated, here’s an accurate description of this delicacy:
A Pan con Bistec ingredients consist of seasoned thin steak (palomilla), grilled onions, potato sticks, lettuce, tomato, and mayo on Cuban bread cut from a loaf. Sometimes the bread is pressed for an added crunch but not always.
The quality of ingredients varies and will affect the sandwich’s flavor; cheaper isn’t necessarily better. I always skip out on the lettuce and tomato; you won’t find those in my pictures.
Oh, one last thing. There are classic Pan con Bistecs, and then there are what I’ll call a new wave Pan con Bistec, which add sauces and variations of steak. They’re great too, like Sanguich’s. It’s closer to a Philly cheesesteak but excellent nonetheless.
Like the others, this Best Pan con Bistec page will be revamped when I eat a mind-blowing Pan con Bistec that needs to be highlighted.
