Brandi’s World Famous Hot Dogs (1377 Church St. Extension) in Marietta, Georgia, was initially Betty’s World Famous Hot Dogs. It opened in 1915, and in 2002, Brandi took over, changing the name but keeping everything else the same.
It isn’t big inside, and it can get filled up in what seems like a few seconds.
How old school is this joint? Cash only, that’s how old school. Plus, they are open only for lunch and closed on weekends.
What to eat at Brandi’s World Famous Hot Dogs
Brandi’s World Famous Hot Dogs menu options are limited to burgers, hot dogs, fries & onion rings. There is a slice of American cheese under the chili. If you don’t like these chili cheese fries, you need your head examined.
The hamburger with chili & cheese was good, but I would gladly have had another chili cheese dog instead if I had to do it over again. But, of course, if I knew then what I know now, I would have had at least 5 of the chili cheese dogs.
No, I’m not kidding.
I talked about this chili cheese dog for days after having it. I had two, which is good enough to create a longstanding memory and deep emotional ties.
The chili is spicy, which our server mentioned before ordering. I didn’t take the comment seriously, but it is spicy.
It’s good spicy, if you know what I mean. If you don’t know what I mean, you’re going to miss out on an excellent chili cheese dog, and you certainly don’t want to do that.
There’s also a 1960s-style crusty fried apple served nuclear hot. Once it’s cooled down, you will love it.
There is a second Brandi’s Hot Dogs location in Cartersville at 800 N Tennessee Street.

You should go just across the tracks to a little place called Red Eye Mule. What Brandi’s is for Hot Dogs, Red Eye Mule is for Burgers!
Damn. Next time I’m in Georgia I will!
