David Arbetter told me about Burger King #17, a restaurant location that embraces its history. I was doubly excited to find out that it’s one of the top BKs in the company.
The following morning, I asked Ted of Ted’s Burgers fame if he knew anything about Burger King #17. Unfortunately, he hadn’t heard about it either.

Flash forward to three hours later, and we’re meeting up to check it out.
The first thing that catches my eye when I walk in is two frames. One frame has pictures of the building in 1959, 1968, 1996, 2008, and the other of the franchisees.
There are historical touches everywhere, but my favorite is the original Burger King sitting on a burger. This BK logo was used from the late 1950s through 1969.
Burger King #17 Service & Food
This BK consistently gets excellent reviews online, which is quite a feat for a business that opened in 1959. In addition, the employees at the counter were friendly and personable with the customers in line.
It’s the kind of service you don’t usually receive at a fast-food joint. But now comes the real test: food and execution.
Well, no surprise here; the food was on point. My Bacon King, original chicken sandwich, and onion rings were precisely how they should be prepared.
Usually, I’m a double cheeseburger guy, and while the Bacon King is indeed a double cheeseburger, it’s not the double cheeseburger on the menu. However, everyone raised with Burger King will tell you that the double cheeseburger was their favorite growing up until they graduated to a larger burger, the Whopper.
The execution at Burger King #17 is what I will expect from every BK from here on out. My local Burger King is a corporately owned location near their headquarters in Miami, so I’m expecting big things.
The good thing is that they recently switched to the retro-inspired Burger King logo, which gives me chills; now, bring back the fried apple pie!

I been going to N Miami BK #17 64 years I was only 3 year’s old my Dad would take me there. Papi Cruise was the best we miss him ❤️ and his beautiful daughter Rosie and his handsome son Juan they are family and everyone who works there ❤️ I love our BK #1
