Outback Steakhouse’s Honey Mustard Sauce Recipe

How did I get my hands on the Outback Steakhouse Honey Mustard Recipe? Many years ago, back when Outback Steakhouse was a scratch kitchen, I would eat there a few times a week.

I liked to sit at the bar and down a couple of blokes (their large beers) while I waited for my food. This sauce was all over my favorite dish, the Alice Springs Chicken.

It also brought a little cup of the sauce, perfect for dipping your Aussie Fries or pouring over your loaded baked potato. The Alice Springs Chicken quesadilla, added years later to their menu, also brings some of that liquid gold.

Over time, I befriended the Outback Steakhouse kitchen manager, who sometimes tended the bar when they were shorthanded. He knew of my love for their sauce and gave me the recipe on my birthday.

I suspect it’s correct, but whether it is or not, it tastes great.
