I stopped at NIP N SIP Drive-In (2603 N. East Street, Lansing) right after 1st lunch but before lunch #2. I wasn’t setting out to create a new lunch, but this meal fit in quite nicely on this jaunt.
NIP N SIP is the home of the Hammy Sammy (their locally famous sandwich creation made of ham, melted Swiss cheese, lettuce, tomato, and mayonnaise). The problem is that I was in a coney dog and olive burger kind of mindset, so no Hammy Sammy for me today.

Marcela shared whatever madness I ordered, which ended up being a frosty mug of their housemade root beer, chili cheese fries, a coney dog, a double-deck cheeseburger, and finally an olive burger.
I ate all the grub in order of the pictures below, with no regrets.
The chili cheese fries and coney dog were solid. They were perfect and hit the spot.

I’ve only been a root beer fan for a handful of years, but you can’t beat root beer when it’s housemade. The NIP N SIP root beer came in its natural habitat of a cold frosty beer mug, winner-winner chicken dinner.
I did not have any chicken, for the record.

NIP N SIP Drive-In Burger Talk

The Nip N Sip’s double-decker with cheese was excellent, and this could have been the right time to end this visit, BUT their beauty, the olive burger, was on deck. The olive burger is not ground-up olives.
But, a mayo-based sauce with diced olives tops the burger patty. Look, olive burgers aren’t for everyone, but I thoroughly enjoyed it.

Luckily, you have the double cheeseburger (it’s a Double Decker Hamburger) to fall back on if the olive burger isn’t your speed. Another essential thing is the impressive meat crust outside of their burgers. They are drool-worthy.
Last Note: I made a giant mess of myself while eating at Nip N Sip Drive-In in Lansing, but that’s ok cause it was delicious.
