Daym Drops posted a video announcing that “Popeyes Chicken Nuggets ARE BACK!!!” back in December 2020. A couple of months later, Chew Boom dropped more info about Popeyes Chicken Nuggets testing in select markets around the U.S.
At the test locations, the nuggets were available in 8, 12, 24, 36, and 48-pieces. In the Daym Drops video, you can see the menu with only 8 and 12-piece options.
I was gonna say it’s been 9 long years, but honestly, the nuggets quietly disappeared from the menu in 2012. Like their super awesome chicken sandwich, the new nuggets with buttermilk breading will be launching nationally during the third week of July.
The Blackened Chicken Sandwich, which has also been testing does not have a national rollout date…yet. In the meantime, have you tried the Popeyes blackened tenders yet? No?!? C’mon, don’t be a rookie!
