Since 1963, the Sandwich Inn has been serving their tasty burgers to the folks in Gainesville, Florida.
I’ve driven & eaten extensively through Ohio.
Yet, there are many burger joints & old school restaurants left to explore.
I’ve barely made a dent.
Shoreless Acres & Serious Food in Livonia, New York, is a local’s spot, and they’re keeping it well hidden from the outside world.
On February 28th, 2022, the Brester’s Coney Island Facebook page announced the restaurant’s closing due to medical reasons.
This was two weeks to the day since I ate lunch there.
Burger Beast made a stop in New Jersey for the White Rose System in Roselle and White Rose Diner in Linden.
The Burgerly is that rare find, a burger joint only known by the locals. But, once the word gets out of New Hope, Pennsylvania, it will be game on!
Aussie Grill is an off-shoot brand from the Outback Steakhouse folks.
The flavor profiles are very similar, along with some dishes that made the jump from the mothership restaurant.
Was this a Fast Food Trip? I mean, we stopped in at Dairy Queen, Hardee’s, Jack in the Box, Krystal, Roy Rogers, Sheetz, White Castle & Zaxby’s.
25 states in 27 days made for some good road trip comfort food.
We ate a bunch of donuts and kolaches; here are the sugary and doughy highlights.
We’re in Savannah, Georgia, for one night, so we hit up Spanky’s Pizza for chicken fingers and the Thunderbird Inn to get our retro fill.
If we’re on the road, then we’re traveling for road food & my wife Marcela is antiquing.
So we stopped in Fayetteville, NC, for a few nights to eat and also hang with old friends.
