Abe’s Bar-B-Q was my first stop when I arrived in Clarksdale, Mississippi for two reasons; it’s right next to the Crossroads AND the comfort food is great.
Wing Mania is a good 45 minutes to an hour from my HQ, so I wanted to make sure I didn’t try to make the drive in rush hour traffic.

The Fish House in Miami has great seafood, pasta & unexpectedly a tasty burger.
I’d suggest finishing your meal with mango cheesecake.
Handy Andy Grocery is a great little locals’ spot in Oxford, Mississippi.
Its main thing is BBQ, but a killer red hot burger is on the menu, too.
Burger Barn has been serving old-school burger joint greatness in Jackson, Tennessee, since 1981.
The double cheeseburger is sheer perfection.
You need to start with some housemade chili at Eats & Treats then work your way to the ice cream. Don’t skip out on the cheeseburger along the way!
You’d never know by looking at the Roxie’s Grocery building that there’s a phenomenal burger beyond those doors.
