All Penguin Point Restaurants in Indiana have Closed
Created by the Stouders back in 1950, Penguin Point was known for its great grub & top-notch service. Now, the restaurant chain is closed.
A closed restaurant is unfortunate, but it’s a sad reality when businesses like Burger & Suds, Dad’s Favorite Burgers, Penguin Point, Relish, and Scotty’s Landing shut down permanently.
Created by the Stouders back in 1950, Penguin Point was known for its great grub & top-notch service. Now, the restaurant chain is closed.
The iconic La Palma restaurant has closed permanently and will be replaced by Las Viñas BBQ.
On February 28th, 2022, the Brester’s Coney Island Facebook page announced the restaurant’s closing due to medical reasons.
This was two weeks to the day since I ate lunch there.
Let’s keep this real simple stupid; you must go to Hamburger Haven in West Palm Beach.
The double cheeseburger is phenomenal, so don’t share with anyone.
The restaurants and food trucks listed are gone but will continue to live-on here in my blog and through our delicious memories.
The closing of Little Havana’s Morro Castle in 2017 was a giant blow to Miami’s Frita community.
And now, here we are just four years later, and Miami’s original Frita Cubana spot Fritas Domino La Original has closed without any fanfare whatsoever.
Owner/Chef Daniel Diaz nailed it right out of the gate with the name Dad’s Favorite Burgers. The food also appears to be firing on all cylinders with made-to-order burgers, french fries, shakes, and pies.
The Burger BEASTmobile only existed for a few short months in early 2011 and featured some great restaurants like Charm City Burgers, El Mago del Fritas & Shake Shack.
Council’s Burgers in Bradenton are classic in every sense of the word. This Bradenton landmark opened its doors in 1926 and also serves beer in frosty mugs.
The Fountain, an old-fashioned soda fountain, will make you think you walked through a time portal instead of the front door to the Little Drug Company.
The Grandstanz farmhouse building has a billboard outside that says, “Ain’t No Better Biscuit, Burger or Fries.”
As I update this post about Soto’s Kitchen in Jacksonville, I’m saddened to say that they have closed up shop for good. This pandemic has been brutal.
