5 Questions With Fatburger CEO Andy Wiederhorn, Catch Him On Undercover Boss On April 5th

I only watch Undercover Boss whenever they have the CEO of a restaurant involved. The premise of the show for those of you who might not be familiar with it is having a corporate big wig getting into disguise and working in his company doing every day tasks for the business. He/She will have the opportunity to see what really goes on in the company and to hear what is great about their company or where it might need bettering from the employees themselves.

On Friday April 5th 8/7c you can catch the CEO of Fatburger, Andy Wiederhorn making fries, baking buns and taking menu orders. He also learned a thing or two. I asked Andy Wiederhorn a few questions about his experience. Check it:

BB) How nervous were you?

AW – I was really nervous the first day that I went undercover as I thought that I would be discovered in my disguise. Also, I was worried about the jobs I was going to be performing and whether or not I would execute them correctly.

BB) When if ever have you worked at one of the Fatburger locations?

AW – I have worked all of the positions in our test kitchen; however, I have never actually worked at one of our stores during regular business hours.

BB) Which station (making fries, baking buns, making burgers and taking menu orders) was the hardest to keep up with as the restaurant filled up?

AW – The grill was by far the hardest task to keep up with. Being behind a hot grill and producing burgers at a quick pace is quite difficult!

BB) What did you learn from your Fatburger tour of duty in Undercover Boss?

AW – I learned that since becoming 99% franchisee operated, a lot of our franchisees were not recognizing our employees as we wished. As a result, I plan to reinstitute our employee recognition program, so that everyone in the Fatburger family is honored and noticed for their efforts. Also, I plan to implement an idea exchange program where employees can send their suggestions to corporate. At the end of the day, our employees are some of our biggest advocates and it is important for them to feel appreciated.

BB) I usually have the L Burger with Cheese & Mustard ONLY. And you gotta get an order of Chili Cheese Fat Fries. How do you have your Fatburger?

AW – My favorite burger to get late at night is the classic Fatburger with a fried egg.

About Burger Beast

I started writing the Burger Beast food blog to tell folks about those little forgotten gems in South Florida. Over the course of the last 5 years or so I've added News, Opinions, & Tips on a variety of Food related subjects. My first love will always be Burgers but Comfort Food is where it's at. At the end of the day I’m a regular dude who writes about a bunch of things I think you should know about.

I saw Mr. Andy Wiederhorn on Undercover Boss on 4/5/2013. He is a good man with a kind heart. I would like to write him a personal letter in reference to something he said on the show. Can you give me an address for him, it is very important and i would appreciate it very much. Please reply to me at e-mail: jjisok@aol.com

You are very kind. God bless you.

I think in all accuracy it would be wise to check on the circumstances surrounding Mr. Weiderhorn’s time in Federal Prison for 14 month for filing a false tax return and paying out illegal gratutities in relation to securites exchanges. He also lost millions of dollars of peoples retirement funds and never repaid them as CEO of Wilshire Credit.

Now he’s on prime time tv being painted as some loving, giving person???? He’s seen comparing his ‘false tax return conviction to a 25 year employee of a factory dealing with immigration issues.??? Check the facts through social media and criminal records.
