We were pumped to eat at the A&W Burgers Chicken Floats (2251 War Admiral Way, Lexington) after hearing about the new concept stores while visiting the A&W Corporate Headquarters. I was not a fan of root beer, so I figured I’dĀ give it another shot since it’s made daily at these A&W locations.
The other significant changes are fresh beef burgers and hand-breaded chicken tenders, all part of the Burger Beast wheelhouse. Then, finally, we sit down to a buffet of food courtesy of our friends at A&W.
It’s a lot to go over, so I want to point out the high highs.
Food Highlights from A&W
I’m now a root beer addict; that should tell you how incredible A&W’s root beer is. We returned to A&W every day afterward (4 days total) to get a frosty refreshment until we left Lexington.
And don’t get me started on those root beer floats. That coney dog, just wow!
As I mentioned earlier, the burgers are fresh beef patties with the nicest of crusts on the outside. These meat sandwiches were perfect burger specimens.
Why are these chicken tenders so far from me? On our 4th and last consecutive visit to A&W, we ordered chicken tenders again to wash down our root beer, or was it the other way around.
I don’t remember. Damn, those tendies were good.
Congratulations to A&W on the Burgers Chicken Floats concept; it’s an out-of-the-park grand slam. Now for the moment of truth, when will A&W return to South Florida? In the meantime,
I’ll be impatiently waiting for my root beer fix.
