I’m looking forward to this Order Up! exhibit opening at the University of Miami Lowe Art Museum featuring diner-inspired glass sculptures by John Miller. Order Up! runs from Friday, October 27th, 2023 – January 14th, 2024.

Plus, there’s a burger scavenger hunt where you can win your very own glass slider!

Step into the world of John Miller’s solo exhibition, where you’ll find a whopping thirty-five larger-than-life glass sculptures depicting food, drinks, and condiments. Picture this: a 1950s diner setup with all the fixins! 🍔🥤

Miller’s work draws inspiration from the groovy Pop Art movement of the ’60s, think Claes Oldenburg’s quirky soft sculptures of everyday stuff. Plus, he throws in his own nostalgic diner memories from when he used to hang out near his dad’s motorcycle shop.

Shoutout to the Palley Family for making “Order Up! The Pop Art of John Miller” happen! And a round of applause to all the other amazing supporters who pitched in, including the State of Florida, Department of State, the Division of Arts and Culture, the Florida Council on Arts and Culture, and the National Endowment for the Arts, among others. It takes a lot of folks to pull this off, folks! 🙌
