Last night I watched Tinta y Café on Check Please, South Florida; this past Wednesday, I ate at their Coral Gables spot in the former Steak Egg & Kitchen space. It was my first time at this location, and years since I ate at the original downtown spot.
If you can find the time, eat inside Tinta y Cafe & don’t take it to-go. The laid-back vibe inside is reason enough to visit.
But the best part is obviously the food great; no burgers, but still tasty.
Eat that breakfast sandwich with fluffy eggs, crispy ham, Swiss cheese & guava jam to start your morning right, and wash it all down with an oscuro cafe con leche.
And get a couple of their stubby house-made ham croquetas, ’cause one ain’t enough. And since I couldn’t get enough of ’em, I took another two home to enjoy later while watching some tv.
