PDQ in Oakland Park & Upcoming Food Truck

PDQ whose mottos are “People Dedicated to Quality” and “Pretty Darn Quick” is a relatively new chain of Chicken Tender restaurants from one of the founders of Outback. They’re popping up all over Florida, even NFL player Tim Tebow is a franchisee. There are also some salads and grilled/fried Turkey on the menu. The drive thru was a little bit different of an experience where you’re face to face with the person taking your order. I felt some extra pressure on me to know what I wanted just because she was right in front of me or maybe because I wasn’t familiar with the menu. I drive to the next window after paying and a few minutes later I’m on my way with my food.

I took a Crispy Chicken Salad home to my wife Marcela who loved it. I parked for one second so I could examine what was going on. Everything comes in these little boxes (excluding the Salad). The Spicy Buffalo Tenders Sandwich comes wrapped up in wax paper ready for eating. I took that as a sign. I had my tenders with Fresh Cut Fries which were pretty good and dipped them in the Honey Mustard meant for the Chicken fellas. Everything is made to order and I’d like to definitely try the Crispy Turkey Breast Sandwich on my next visit. One last thing, that Honey Mustard is ridiculously good.

PDQ’s got a Food Truck that’s about to hit the street of South Florida too so I’ll keep you posted on that as soon as I hear anything else.

About Burger Beast

I started writing the Burger Beast food blog to tell folks about those little forgotten gems in South Florida. Over the course of the last 5 years or so I've added News, Opinions, & Tips on a variety of Food related subjects. My first love will always be Burgers but Comfort Food is where it's at. At the end of the day I’m a regular dude who writes about a bunch of things I think you should know about.
