All I had ever heard about Bru’s Room was how fantastic their wings were. A few years back, I tried them at a food truck event in Broward County, where they had a food trailer.

I never really had the inkling to drive up to the 954 to check out the entire menu; however, I was excited when I saw they were opening a location in Westchester (now closed).

The space is gigantic, and this is a sports fans’ kinda place with screens everywhere. If you’re looking to carry on an intense conversation about splitting an atom, this might not be the place.

Me? I’m just here for the food, my people.

The food at Bru’s Room can be best described as sports bar grub. The Triple Threat Shrimp & Chef’s Waffle Nachos, are great to share with friends over some cold beer.

After having ordered the Triple Threat Wings and thoroughly enjoying them, I noticed boneless wings available in some hot sauce called Brutonium.

I’m not one to turn down trying a scorching sauce, so this was a go and a big disappointment. The boneless wings were fine; the sauce registered as barely hot on the Beast-o-Meter.

Enter the Chicken Sandwich

The burger, ribs, and mashed potatoes were good, but I’d go straight to the buttermilk fried chicken sandwich. It’s supposed to be a Buffalo chicken sandwich, but there was no sign of heat.

I was ok with that since the sandwich was incredible. One of the BEST fried chicken sandwiches I’ve ever had, and I’d come back to Bru’s Room just for this.

We tried the Lava Cake and the Guava Mango Cheesecake on the dessert side. You can’t go wrong with either, but seeing as this is South Florida, you may get your Miami card revoked for not ordering the dish with mango & guava.

The good thing is next time I’m back at Bru’s Room, I won’t need to look at a menu; I’ll know what I want: Triple Threat Chicken Wings, a Buffalo Fried Chicken Sandwich, and a Guava Mango Cheesecake.
