This post goes out to all the people who claim they’re from Miami Lakes but actually live in Hialeah. C’mon, guys, you’re not fooling anyone, lol
If you wake up & say to yourself, “No quiero cocinar (I don’t want to cook),” even if you don’t speak Spanish, I’ve got a great spot for you in Miami Lakes. Yes, it’s called No Quiero Cocinar, or NQC for short.
In a former Farm Stores double drive-thru, you’ll find NQC serving Cuban comfort classics along with dishes like a chorizo & egg bagel sandwich, sweet potato hash, or an avocado chicken wrap.
The menu is impressive, especially when you consider the space. It proves that where there’s a will, there’s a way.
NQC is a breakfast & lunch spot that closes on Sundays, so you will need to plan accordingly.
I’m all about their pan con tortilla with ham & Swiss cheese; X marks the spot (look at the pic).
The croquetas are great, and the smoked ham croquetas are begging to be in a sandwich which is why there’s a croqueta preparada on the menu too.
I’m a Cafe con Leche connoisseur, and their oscuro is 🔥…make sure to savor every sip. I need to just have a cafecito cause I have a feeling it’s probably one of the best in town.
So with this, I leave you, add NQC to your must visits and rest easy cause they’re Burger Beast Approved
One of the Best Things I Ate in 2021
In late 2021, my pops & I ate breakfast at NQC in Miami Lakes for the first time. The majestic breakfast bowl named Marquez Skillet made our morning: a four-egg scramble with Spanish chorizo, mushrooms, onions, chives, patata scoops, & Mr. Mylo’s Mojo Aioli.
