The Ghost Pepper Whopper is back at Burger King for the Halloween season. I love that it launched on October 13th, 2023, which is a Friday. This isn’t the first appearance of the Ghost Pepper Whopper.
This fella made its debut last year, but this time around, we also have Ghost Pepper Chicken Fries to contend with. The more the merrier, I say, or should I say scarier.
Burger King has gone into marketing overdrive, which I love since I’m a giant Burger King and all things scary fan. If you didn’t know, I owned a horror-themed store once upon a burger time.

Ghost Pepper Bucket and Crowns

I had a smile from ear to ear when I walked into my local Burger King, which also happens to be the closest location to their Headquarters in Miami. Every table had a Ghost Pepper Crown waiting for their next burger victims.
Also, on the Burger King website, there’s a daily game to win prizes by clicking on the Ghost Pepper bucket. Now, speaking of Halloween buckets…
There is a Ghost Pepper-themed Halloween Bucket with a black background and white glow-in-the-dark winged “ghost peppers.” The highly coveted bucket is only available in these markets for $1 while supplies last; happy bucket hunting: Nashville, Tennessee; Las Vegas, Nevada; Charlotte, North Carolina; and Atlanta, Georgia.

If you think I’m exaggerating with the “highly coveted” comment, the buckets are going for upwards of $25 on eBay.
Ghost Pepper Whopper

This was not my first Ghost Pepper Whopper rodeo; I ate a few during last year’s launch. However, I was willing to get in the line again.
The Ghost Pepper Whopper brings Ghost Pepper cheese, spicy queso sauce, bacon, and crispy jalapeños. Most folks will not be able to handle the heat, but give it a try…if you dare.
It’s excellent, but I’m convinced you’d be doing the right thing if you went the double meat route. Maybe add some mayo? Just sayin’!
Ghost Pepper Chicken Fries

The Ghost Pepper Chicken Fries, available in quantities of 4, 8, or 12, are out, too. They are spicier than the Whopper version, but I ate them without dipping sauce cause I’m a man.
Yes, the picture shows an open ranch sauce I did not use. Or did I?
TRICK or HEAT

Burger King put out a few graphics, including a Trick or Heat poster. There was also a small batch of promotional boxes created. I was one of the chosen, and Burger King hand-delivered one to my headquarters in Westchester.

You can check out the unboxing below:
Burger King’s The Call Short Film

BK produced a Scream-inspired short film that you must watch; gotta love the 80s-style horror film poster.
Haunt your taste buds with the Ghost Pepper Whopper from Burger King on its own or with Ghost Pepper Chicken Fries.
