We were driving through Montgomery, and Chris’ Famous Hot Dogs was on my shortlist of spots to have lunch. Chris’ Hot Dogs (138 Dexter Avenue), a staple for hot dog lovers in Montgomery, Alabama, has been around since 1917.
I was with my buds, the entire Miami Meat Machine crew, so some good eating was about to be had.
Crinkle-cut fries & onion rings were my starters. I’m not a big ketchup fan, but I think that crinkle cuts are the ideal fry for dipping.
So it was a no-brainer that I order their namesake Chris’ Famous Hot Dog. Mustard, onion, kraut & Chris‘ Famous Chili Sauce top the steamed bun & dog. Yeah, I can see why this fella is so popular.
I fell in love with the cheeseburger, a fresh beef patty topped with mustard, ketchup, onion & Chris’ Chili Sauce. The dog might be the star at Chris,’ but I preferred the cheeseburger.
It might be because Chris’ Famous Chili Sauce reminds me of the Biff Burger Sauce (which is a great thing).
