Grails is a restaurant concept centered on sneaker culture. I’m not one to obsess over my footwear, but I can appreciate any work of art.
Generally, I start with some water until I’ve ordered and can understand what kind of meaning I’m having. I saw that Grails had the Hefeweizen beer from Nightlife (R.I.P.), and I’ve been wanting to try one of their beers, so I figured it was the perfect time.
I’m a sucker for lighter beers that keep the bitterness to a minimum. I thought it was great and ended up having a second one; I drank no sodas with this meal.
The half-dozen beer brine wings tossed in house buffalo sauce with bleu cheese and carrot sticks arrived with enough time before the main events. They were tasty, but I could have done without the green onion garnishment since it didn’t really do anything for them.
The Uptown Hot Chicken Sandwich has hot honey, spicy ranch, shredded lettuce, and tomato. It’s a great chicken sandwich that comes with double-battered french fries, which are oddly addictive.
Grails Miami Does Have A Cheeseburger
The Grails cheeseburger comes with cheddar cheese, crispy onions, housemade pickles, and Grails sauce. The beef patty is on the hefty side for a smash, and the bun is a little big for the burger, but otherwise, it was good.
There is also an all-beef Grails dog with chili and cheddar cheese sauce, which escaped my clutches this time around. But as I like to say, there’s always next time!
