Handy Andy Grocery is a great little locals’ spot in Oxford, Mississippi.
Its main thing is BBQ, but a killer red hot burger is on the menu, too.
The Dutch Oven is housed in an old passenger train depot. This Amish bakery is predominantly known for baked goods and sandwiches.
Like the South Florida croqueta phenomenon, the Mississippi Delta has a well-documented fascination with hot tamales.
The goals I had set for my four days in Clarksdale, Mississippi, were to stay at the Shack Up Inn, visit the Delta Blues Museum, see the Crossroads and eat from Ground Zero Blues Club.
This lucky fella over here accomplished all of them and more.
Housed in an old saloon, Phillips Grocery serves one of Mississippi’s best burgers.
There’s also a pretty nifty Patty Melt, another great option.
As a giant fan of Fat Possum Records, I was ecstatic to visit the End of All Music store and the Lamar Lounge Restaurant in Oxford, Mississippi.
