Z-Cocina Mexicana food truck is the creation of Chef Zé Carlos Jiménez from Mexico. I met Ze Carlos at the beginning of the Miami Food Truck scene in 2011.
Back then, his truck was the MexZican Gourmet Truck. The menu consisted of elotes, tacos, quesadillas, tostadas, & tortas.
For a short period, there was a MexZican Gourmet restaurant on US1 near Sunset Place. It was located in a challenging location, unfortunately.
Back then, I was always on the lookout for the cochinita pibil cause it was my favorite. Actually, it’s a close second to the must-have Legacy Taco!
Since then, Ze Carlos has returned to the food truck world with Z-Cocina Mexicana. You can generally find them every Friday at Tropical Park.
