2 awards were given out at the Riverwalk Trust’s Inaugural Burger Battle in Fort Lauderdale, Fan Favorite and Best Burger in Fort Lauderdale. All attendees were given a voting chip to vote for their favorite restaurant, The Capital Grille won the Fan Favorite Trophy.
Both trophies were created by George Gadson, a local artist. The judges (Jimmy Cefalo, Chef Director Jack Kane, Keith Sims, Chef Allen Susser & myself) decided the winner for Best Burger in Fort Lauderdale for 2010.
Georgie’s Alibi walked away with the Trophy. Well deserved, it was my favorite Burger of the night.
2 Important notes:
1) Chef’s Allen had an awesome French Fry Bar with 2 different cuts of Fries and Sauces o’ plenty.
2) Stop Burger of Weston created a Kobe Beef burger infused with Chocolate Chips and topped with Jalapeño Chocolate Sauce. Hands down, the craziest Burger of the night.
