Treehouse Truck – Orlando Food Truck

The first time I drove up to Orlando to try the Treehouse Truck at the Daily City’s Orlando Food Truck Bazaar it wasn’t there. So when May 1st rolled around for the 2nd Bazaar and they were in fact part of the event I decided I’d show up slightly late to avoid the crowds. I walked up to the truck and checked out the menu. There were a couple of folks ahead of me so I walk around to check out the design. The craziest thing is that they allow folks to use a sharpie and sign the truck on the back side. I’m not sure what the requirement for this is though.

Menu

It should be no surprise that I went for the “BearGrrr” or Luther Burger (burger between 2 Krispy Kreme doughnuts) as it’s better known. Most folks either think, what a great idea or this is absolutely disgusting! I fall somewhere in between.

I had one last year and I swore one Luther Burger would be enough for a lifetime. I saw it on the menu at Treehouse Truck and was drawn to order it again. My mind can’t seem to wrap itself around what I’m eating. If you haven’t had it, try it and you’ll be surprised at how much you’ll like it…..No for real! It also helps that the burger itself was good.

Luther Vandross Burger

Peanut Butter & Jelly is a comfort food staple in most folks’ minds but not in mine. I don’t care for it BUT..when you create a Monte Cristo-like Peanut Butter & Jelly sandwich you may win me over. I was kinda hesitant to try it but you know what? It’s good and different. And if you’re a fan of PB & J then this might be what you need in your life. There’s also Nutella in there somewhere.

Deep Fried PBJ

The menu isn’t only full of deep fried goodness. There is a “Pink Panther Salad” on the menu as well as a “Portobello Mushroom Burger” for those of you who might not want to go all out.

And to finish off my meal I had Deep Fried Oreos. If you’ve never tried this delicacy then you’ve probably never had the softest, chewiest Oreos of your life. A scoop of vanilla ice cream would have made this one of the best desserts I’ve ever had.

The Treehouse Truck has some permanent items and specialties that you can find out about on Twitter daily. It wouldn’t hurt you one day to just wing it, come out and find out what they are plus the Luther Burger will be waiting for you (and that can’t hurt).

About Burger Beast

I started writing the Burger Beast food blog to tell folks about those little forgotten gems in South Florida. Over the course of the last 5 years or so I've added News, Opinions, & Tips on a variety of Food related subjects. My first love will always be Burgers but Comfort Food is where it's at. At the end of the day I’m a regular dude who writes about a bunch of things I think you should know about.
